Cuxhaven – (Kugelbake, The.) With small figurine + sailing ship. Wood engraving after Gustav Schoenleber (Bietigheim 1851 – Karlsruhe 1917) for Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. (1880/81.) Inscribed: G. Sch. / (illegible), otherwise typographically in German as above. 5 × 3⅞ in (12.8 × 9.8 cm).
BACK: (Tug Boat on the Elbe), three boats on the hook. Further inland a sailing ship. Wood engraving as before. Inscribed: GS / A. Closs X. I., otherwise typographically in German as above. 2⅝ × 5¼ in (6.6 × 13.4 cm). – Continuous historical text on dyke and stream techniques on both sides.
