Abraham Storck, Marine

Storck, Abraham (c. 1635 Amsterdam c. 1710). Marine. In front yacht and two-deck-vessel riding at anchor, but under sails. Behind further two-master. The water between the ships as the shore in front, too, richly populated by several boats with numerous, partly active, partly resting figurines. Etching by Jean Jacques le Veau (Rouen 1729 – Paris 1786). Inscribed: 96 / Storck del. / le Veau sc. / Du Cabinet de Mr. Poullain. 6 × 6¾ in (15.4 × 17.3 cm).
