Board, Midday Rest on. The ten-headed watch-below in the forecastle partly resting, partly sitting. Quite in front the watch stands. Wood engraving after Johannes Gehrts (Hamburg 1855 – Dusseldorf 1921) for Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. (1880/81.) Inscribed: Joh. Gehrts (18)80 / A. Closs X.I., followed by indistinct engraver’s inscription, otherwise in German as above. 4½ × 6⅝ in (11.5 × 16.8 cm).

BACK: Drill on Board of the Aviso “Habicht” (“Goshawk”). Gun crew fallen in. Above on the bridge the ship’s command, one of the officers with telescope. Wood engraving as before. Inscribed: Joh. Gehrts (18)80 / A. Closs. XI, otherwise as above. 5¼ × 4½ in (13.2 × 11.5 cm). – On both sides continuous German text “Wilhelmshaven and Our Fleet”.
